Services Offered
Puppy I Training (6 sessions - approximately 1 hour classes) taught at your location
We begin working with your puppy as young as 10 weeks of age and teach them foundation skills like: touching a target, being handled, offering behaviors, sit, down, follow, coping skills, confidence building, bite inhibition, how to walk on a loose leash, and potty training. Puppy training is interactive and fun for the whole family. You will be surprised how fast your puppy learns; and begins the foundation for that life time bond between you and your dog. Puppy training classes meet for approximately 1 hour per week over a 6 week period.
Puppy II Training (6 sessions - approximately 1 hours classes) taught at your location
Puppy II sessions will build on what was learned in Puppy I. We'll begin adding: distraction, duration, and distance to their sits and downs; teach a drop it, take it and leave it. "Drop" is letting go of whatever is in their mouth; "Take it" or "Get it" teaches them to pick up something with their mouth; and "leave it" teaches them ignore anything we don't want them to pick up. They'll learn to "wait" before going through doors (just because a door is open doesn't mean they get to go through it, this includes any door in the house, or getting in or out of your vehicle).
If you live within 15 miles of the Dallas Hwy (120)/ Lost Mountain intersection in West Cobb County, the cost for this training is $210 per puppy. I offer discounts for multiple dogs in the same family. If you live outside the 15 mile radius and would like the training done at your location, an additional fee for total mileage will be added at the rate of .55 per mile round trip from the Dallas Hwy / Lost Mountain/Mars Hill intersection to your location.

Behavioral Assessments and Aggression Management
Dealing with an aggressive dog can be unnerving to a lot of people. There are many different types of aggressive behavior dogs can exhibit such as: biting at the leash, inappropriate behavior towards other dogs, children or adults; dominate, fear based, territorial, possessive, predatory, pain, redirection, resource guarding: food, furniture (the bed or couch); and different medications can cause aggression in dogs. Understanding how to properly read a dog's signals, and knowing how a dog thinks makes it easier to come up with a rehabilitation program that will work. We use the Behavior Adjustment Training Program, "BAT" when working with dog on dog aggression. This is a positive reinforcement program that helps a dog to offer a different behavior other than aggression by working within the dogs own comfort level.
Sometimes your dog may be perfect in every way except for one behavioral issue. We can address whatever that may be and show you a positive method for changing that behavior into something more appropriate.
($110 - 1 hour session) ($275 - 3 sessions), ($600 - 6 sessions)
If you live within 15 miles of the Dallas Hwy / Lost Mountain intersection in West Cobb County, the cost is as stated above. If you live outside the 15 mile radius and would like the training done at your location, an additional fee for total mileage will be added at the rate of .55 per mile round trip from the Dallas Hwy / Lost Mountain/Mars Hill intersection to your location.
Therapy Dog Training
Does your dog have what it takes to become a therapy dog? Therapy dogs need to have stellar obedience training; a great "leave it" command, be comfortable around medical equipment such as: mechanical beds, wheelchairs and walkers, like being around people, and recover quickly when startled. We can address the areas that need work in order to get you and your dog ready for testing. This is such a great endeavor for anyone and their dog to undertake. Being a part of a therapy dog team that brings joy and comfort to others is a blessing.
